Getein's Automation: Precision Meets Speed—Transform Fecal Testing, Secure GI Health!

Overview of Fecal Testing

Fecal testing is a non-invasive, patient-friendly diagnostic tool for evaluating gastrointestinal (GI) health. It analyzes stool samples to detect hidden abnormalities, supporting routine screening, disease diagnosis, and treatment monitoring of GI disorders, with no need for invasive procedures like endoscopy.

Our Test Items

Fecal Occult Blood Test (FOB)

FOB is a cornerstone of colorectal cancer screening, as early-stage colorectal cancer often presents with occult bleeding. It also aids in diagnosing other GI conditions such as gastric ulcers, duodenal ulcers, inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), and vascular malformations. Timely FOB screening enables early detection of potentially life-threatening diseases, significantly reducing mortality rates through prompt treatment.

Fecal Calprotectin Test

Calprotectin testing is a gold standard for distinguishing inflammatory bowel disease (IBD, including Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis) from functional GI disorders (e.g., irritable bowel syndrome). It helps monitor disease activity, assess treatment response, and predict relapse in IBD patients. Additionally, it aids in evaluating inflammation in other conditions such as infectious colitis and celiac disease, guiding clinicians in formulating targeted treatment plans.

Helicobacter pylori (Hp) Fecal Antigen Test

Hp infection is strongly associated with chronic gastritis, peptic ulcers, gastric adenocarcinoma, and mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue (MALT) lymphoma. The fecal antigen test is a reliable method for diagnosing active Hp infection, especially in children and patients who cannot tolerate invasive tests (e.g., endoscopy) or urea breath tests. It also serves as an effective tool for post-treatment confirmation of Hp eradication, ensuring successful management of Hp-related diseases.

Current Challenges in Fecal Testing

  • Manual operation: High human error risk and heavy workload.
  • Low efficiency: Long turnaround times delaying clinical decisions.
  • Contamination & safety risks: Direct sample contact increases cross-contamination and biohazard exposure.
  • Inconsistent results: Lack of standardization across manual processes.
