D-Dimer Reagent Kit (Immunoturbidimetric Method)
Intended Use
This reagent kit is intended for the in vitro quantitative determination of D-Dimer in human plasma.
D-Dimer is a type of FDP that results from the breakdown of stable cross-linked fibrin by plasmin, due to the action of coagulation factor 13 in the blood or plasma coagulation-fibrinolysis system. An increase in D-dimer in blood indicates the formation of thrombus in the body, which initiates fibrinolysis, and shows high values in diseases such as obstetrical disorders, vascular disease, and DIC (Disseminated Intravascular Coagulation Syndrome).
